Faith in God Equals Power Over Evil
A lot of folks believe in God but for some reason don’t believe in the devil. This is an enormous error, simply because there absolutely is a devil and we are no match against his power without God standing with us. God needs people of faith to aggressively pursue righteousness in fellowship with other believers, by way of prayer, and most importantly regularly studying the Word of God. The story of Noah and the flood that everybody is acquainted with paints a picture of a man who took action on his faith in God. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky, but Noah built an ark trusting when God told him the flood would come. Individuals who have faith in God would be wise to follow Noah’s example and create a spiritual wall around their life that will safeguard them from the schemes of the devil.
The love of God is a potent force and it is offered to everyone on earth. The Christian faith teaches that any individual can access that love by believing in Christ. It is that belief in Christ that empowers your faith in God. This world that we live in makes it challenging to live by faith in God because there are so many popular forms of entertainment that overtly mock living by faith. This world we live in is so full of the devil’s lies and deception it’s hard to give in to trusting the idea that Jesus died on the Cross for your sins so that you might have eternal life. This world wants you to believe that salvation from death is simply not feasible. God would like you to believe that salvation through Jesus is absolutely possible. When you have faith in God, you will be connected to the source of all creation and have access to the amazing power of God that will one day throw the devil into the lake of fire forever.
