There is nothing more satisfying than to officiate at weddings and other events, and teaching children. If this is your calling then you should become an ordained minister. Ordained defined means that the ordained minister can perform ministerial duties and all sacred functions; basically the ordained minister can start his or her own recognized church.
It is not enough to just study for the ministry or to know by instinct about the word of God; you have to become ordained and then get a license to validate your ability to be a minister. To have a valid church, the minister has to be ordained, and the physical church can be anywhere you choose, even your house can become your church. You have to have a congregation that meets on a regular basis at a regular time and schedule, such as: once a week, once a month, or a few times a year. The dates for the meeting of the congregation should be set down and kept faithfully.
There is no particular denomination that your church has to follow and it can be completely nondenominational. The ordained minister of the church should have knowledge of other religions than just the five major religions. The knowledge of World Religion is important as the ordained minister follows the cultures of the world, the gaps between them and their philosophies and their different beliefs.
An ordained minister that is true to his calling will be a better religious leader than the one that follows the ministry for financial sustenance or personal gratification. If you follow the latter way you will not be able to lead o congregation in good faith. Whether you are going to teach the Word literally or figuratively, you have to enter the ministry with a calling. However you are planning to operate your church, of course within the law, you will find it very fulfilling and interesting. There may not be much in the way of financial gratification but you will sleep at night knowing that you may have set someone on the right path.
